Retaining Walls & Fencing
Serenity Scapes specialises in all types of retaining walls. Generally the client specifies which type of retaining wall they prefer, though Daniel is quite commonly asked what he recommends - in this case it depends on the circumstances, such as: the existing wall type (if there is one), the height of the wall, the ground conditions, the shape of the yard, the drainage requirements and of course the client's budget and preferences.
The types of retaining walls we have built include: brick, block (besa, link, interlink), rock/ boulder, timber and concrete sleeper walls.
In some situations, your retaining wall may be able to be repaired with new posts or replacing a section of the wall.
Incorporating stairs into retaining walls is popular in terraced yards and can be both physically effective, as well as convenient.
We have built various types of fences, including colorbond, brick, besa block, aluminium and timber. We have constructed a sound minimising fence for a client whose home is on a main road; which they say has been a life saver. Fixing blue board to an existing fence and painting it is a great way to modernise your fence and looks similar to the rendered effect (and is much cheaper). Steel framed gates with stained decking timber are very popular and aesthetically pleasing. It is extremely important that pool fences are built to Council Regulations for safety and liability reasons. Daniel has good knowledge of the requirements and hasn't been called back to alter a pool fence he has constructed.
